Charles Alexander Sore was born in Haughley, Stowmarket on 2nd April 1901(Stow Q2-1901 4A:917),the son of Henry and Minnie SORE (née SUTTON) 1911 census... He was 10, at The Street, Haughley, Stowmarket with his father Henry SORE [46] an estate woodman, born Haughley, his mother Minnie [43] born Hatfield, brother Walter [21] stockman on farm, brother George [18] under gardener domestic, sister Mary [10], brother Archer [7], brother Leonard [4] and sister Emily [1]. All the children were born in Haughley. He married Mabel Gladys MILLER [18-7-1908] (Q4-1928 Stow 4A:2303). They were in Station Road, Kennett in 1939 with their two daughters,Daphne and Cecily |
Buried in Calvados and not long after the break out at Caen, but in the Royal Engineers, without his service records it cannot be decided exactly where he was killed. |
