Charles Alexander Sore was born in Haughley, Stowmarket on 2nd April 1901(Stow Q2-1901 4A:917),the son of Henry and Minnie SORE (née SUTTON)

1911 census... He was 10, at The Street, Haughley, Stowmarket with his father Henry SORE [46] an estate woodman, born Haughley, his mother Minnie [43] born Hatfield, brother Walter [21] stockman on farm, brother George [18] under gardener domestic, sister Mary [10], brother Archer [7], brother Leonard [4] and sister Emily [1]. All the children were born in Haughley.

He married Mabel Gladys MILLER [18-7-1908] (Q4-1928 Stow 4A:2303). They were in Station Road, Kennett in 1939 with their two daughters,Daphne and Cecily


Buried in Calvados and not long after the break out at Caen, but in the Royal Engineers, without his service records it cannot be decided exactly where he was killed.
